I, too, once wrote poetry
Just as winter gives way to spring, our hearts change with the seasons.
Even in moments of pause, new beginnings always await us.
This poem captures the story of 'pause' and 'restart,' an experience we've all shared at some point.
It may still be clumsy and frightening, but we are still moving forward, step by step.
When was your 'restart'?
May we all take another strong step forward today.
<I, too, once>
I forgot,
the meaning of being alive.
White snow piled up,
and the black earth froze.
My heart seemed to stop,
as if it would never beat again.
But today,
amidst the subtly seeping spring light,
my body, which I thought was asleep,
began to wake up again.
It's still awkward,
this unfamiliar warmth.
It's also scary,
this sudden change.
But now I think I understand,
the reason I endured the long winter.
I will muster my courage once more
to greet the new season.
"Okay, let's start again."
I murmur in a trembling voice,
on this still-cold morning,
I take my first step.
